  • :BaseKB Pro contains all topics and facts from Freebase, including extensive data on
    • music tracks
    • books
    • movies and TV episodes
    • medical and genomic topics
  • :BaseKB Pro is not filtered by the Wikipedia notability requirement; this means that you could add topics to Freebase and have them accessible in :BaseKB Pro in the future.

:BaseKB data can be legally merged, in all known jurisdictions, with CC-BY-SA data from sources such as DBpedia.

Under the hood

Creating consistent subsets of Freebase

The process used to extract :BaseKB from :BaseKBPro can be adapted to make consistent subsets of Freebase data that fit any criterion.

It would be possible, for instance, to focus on people, organizations and locations near Seattle, remove concepts that Shakespeare could not have known about, or produce a knowledge base focused on science and technology.

Specialized knowledge bases can be updated weekly by our completely automated process.
